What is IFSA?
IFSA is short for International Forestry Students’ Association. This organisation offers forestry students from all over the world the opportunity to learn more about forestry in other countries and make new aquaintances all over the world.
IFSA is an association of independent committees of forestry students in 54 countries.

Who are we?
The Local Committee (LC) at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences (BOKU) in Vienna was reactivated by a few bachelor students of forestry in the spring of 2011 and has 44 members at the moment (2018).

Members of the LC have been participating sucessfully in various national and international events.

In April 2013 LC BOKU organised the Southern European Regional Meeting (SERM) together with the LC Hungary.

In August 2016 LC BOKU organised together with our colleges from bavaria the International Forestry Students´Symposium (IFSS). It is the annual general assembly of IFSA World. Altogether 120 students from 33 different countries came to us for 16 days. To learn more about visit the IFSS 2016 Website
